The crystals were collected by my husband and me from the mountains of Japan. They are uncut and irregular in shape. Many may not have the high transparency of processed crystals found overseas, but please appreciate their natural form and the beauty of their sound.

In the Edo period, with no air conditioning or electric fans, people would rest during the hot afternoons and enjoy the cooling effect of wind chimes while napping. This was a traditional Japanese way of staying cool.

The cool, refreshing sound is unique to crystal.

This glass is made using traditional methods that have not changed since the Edo period. Each piece is mouth-blown from glass melted in a furnace at approximately 1320°C. The jagged edge of the striking area is characteristic of Edo wind chimes and contributes to their beautiful sound. Only two long-established workshops in Japan continue to use this traditional technique.

The crystals are collected from the mountains of Yamanashi Prefecture in Japan and each has its own unique characteristics.

水晶特有的清凉声音。

这款玻璃风铃采用自江户时代以来不变的传统工艺制作。每个风铃都是用约1320°C温度的炉中熔化的玻璃，通过口吹制成的。江户风铃的特点是保持锯齿状的风铃口，这种工艺制作的声音非常美妙。目前只有日本两家历史悠久的工坊继续使用这种传统工艺制作风铃。

这些水晶是从日本山梨县的山中采集的，每一块水晶都有其独特的特征。
